Jennifer was born and raised in Manitoba. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with Honours from the University of Winnipeg with research focused in the area of analytical biochemistry. During her medical degree at the University of Manitoba, she earned a concurrent Bachelor of Science in Medicine involving research of novel HIV vaccine targets. Throughout this time, with ample exposure, she developed and fostered a great interest and passion for neurosurgery. As a new resident, her interests remain broad within the field of neurosurgery though she is eager to immerse herself within all areas and find her niche. Outside of the hospital, Jennifer enjoys cooking, soccer, and spending time with her family and their corgi, Oscar Mint.
