Andrew Ajisebutu

PGY-4, Resident

 

Andrew Ajisebutu is a neurosurgery resident born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He completed his undergraduate degree in 2015 at McGill University, where he graduated First Class Honours with Distinction in Biochemistry, with a minor in Psychology. He then returned to Manitoba for medical school, where he served as President of the Class of 2019. He graduated with his Doctor of Medicine with a B.Sc. Medicine in 2019, where he was fortunate enough to have been selected Valedictorian. Andrew is primarily interested in oncology and molecular metabolism, and has pursued basic science research projects at both McGill and the University of Manitoba with that focus. Along with neurosurgery, he is passionate about advocacy and social equity.  Outside of medicine, he loves politics, literature, hiking, and a good D&D campaign.
